Eligibility
Being a foreign national who desires to enter Sri Lanka, who holds a return air ticket and sufficient funds [currency / travelers cheques / credit card] for maintenance.
Mode of Issue
Bona-fide tourists from the countries listed in Schedule ‘A’ shall be granted landing visa for 30 days at the port of entry in Sri Lanka.
Nationals of countries not listed in Schedule ‘A’ should obtain prior Visit visas whatever the purpose of visit. For more information on fees and other details,

From Colombo to Kandy
Just after leaving the custom clearance at Colombo Airport, you will find a few government approved transport agency offices to your right. Please approach them for a chauffer driven van or car. A chaffer driven car or van to Kandy costs around Rs 5000 - 6000. It may take around 3 hours to reach Kandy from the airport.
